Hood vents...

well... i know that this have nothing to do with the RB forum, bt it's the only forum i'm getting in to...

so...

what should i do with my hood vents during winter season?

i don't want the rain to get into the engine bay...

is there anything i can buy that'll cover it from below ?

First off I must say from your sig your car sounds HOT!

Have you thought about buying another hood without vents? I see carbon fiber ones sell for around $900 bucks.

somone posted up their idea of what they did not too long ago

they took some sheet metal i believe and made littel deflectors to get water to move away from the vents...he was worried about rain cracking his manifold

im sure it;d work all the same

I'd just attach something waterproof on the underside of the hood via superglue, or if you still have a hoodliner you can take a couple of the push fasteners out, punch them through the waterproof liner, and press them back in...

thank you guys...

i thought that there must be something ready for those kind of things...but i guess i was wrong :-)

i'll just have to build something myself...using superglue and duct tape, is not an option for me... i don't like those kind of things...

Do you have a picture of your hood? If so please post it. How about creating an actuator system that seals the hood off via switch? It'd be a neat gimmick and probably wouldn't be too hard to make.
