What do you guys think about a custom cowl or hood scoop on ourstock hood? Just a eurethane part that you screw on top or something.

Cool or dumb?

I don't know about that, I think it would ruin the lines of the car.

If it worked as a ram air type thing, i think it would be cool.

If it is for looks no, but performance then yes.

an add on, non functional hood scoop that uses 2 way tape, just for looks....sorry they look gay in my opinion.

if you blended it in with either bondo/fiberglass or whatever to make it look flush, then go for it, as for just "screwing it on" or double sided taping it i would leave that alone

Sounds like a lot of work for not very much gain, both looks and performance.

There is already an OEM style carbon fiber hood on the market, I'm sure a more aggressive look will come out soon too.

If you want to upgrade the hood, go for CF. It would probably cost as much as properly adding a scoop, and you will be losing weight, not gaining it.
