Hood Struts on QX4?

Anyone ever install hood struts on their QX4? I'd love some pics of the mounting.

Not the answer you're looking for, but I would to. Not to have them on a nearly $40K (sticker price on mine) vehicle makes me shake my head. I know the QX4's were just badge engineering with a bunch of tupperware, but they should have been on Pathfinders too. A prop rod? WTF, is it a Toyota Corolla or some bottom feeder like that?

I also thought about that. To me the difficult thing is I can't figure out how much space there is for the struts.

I noticed some hood struts on a G35 the other day at a JY. I wonder if those would work.

There are a ton of cars that use front or rear hood/trunk struts and I'm sure somewhere there is a compression/extension chart, not that I know where it is. But don't get locked in on Nissan, instead look at the weight, the angle, how much travel they have/need and most of all how they mount. Mounting, without tearing the metal in 6 months is critical.
