Hood sealing rubber-S13

At the back of the hood, running across the cowl, is a rubber seal. It is hollow and has a small lip. Does the lip point back toward the windshield or to the front? The FSM doesn't illustrate it and an image in a parts source doesn't have that degree of detail. Could someone just look under the hood of their car and check for me?

Almost all Nissan / Datsun hood seals face the lip toward the windshield. That way, closing the hood compresses the seal, unless you have a front hinged hood like the Z car series.
