Hood scoop for IC

I am dropping in a CA18DET which I am gettting w/ stock intercooler and piping. The IC's are known to get quite hot. I am kinda short on cash right now, so I dont plan on getting a FMIC right away. Do you think andding a hood scoop such as one from a Z31 or maybe an RX-7 will have any effect on it? The engine will be basically stock w/ exhaust and intake. Is it worth my time?

the sidemount intercooler isnt really in the engine bay. Its more in front of the driver side wheel. To cool that, if thats your plan, i would work on cutting a holein the bumper on that side, to get more air flow. If you are worried about the engine running hot, get a bigger radiator. I hope that helped.

Ahhh, I was picturing it on top much like how the Z31 IC or STi was placed. Whoops.

z31's had no intercoolers, the scoop was on the 84 and 85's because they where air cooled turbos. actually i think they went water cooled for 85 but they stopeed the scoop on later models
