Hood, Roof and Tailgate = Aluminium?

Hello All!

I had a quick question about our cars. The tailgate feels really light: is it made of aluminiun? What about the hood and roof? (They also tend to be made of aluminium when the tailgate is made of that). Any other panels?

Also, if we have panels made of aluminium, any special care we should be considering to keep these top shape? For instance, I know aluminium does not rust but does corrode. Can we do something to prevent this? Any other things I should do?

Ok, Hood and Hatch are aluminium while the roof and all other paner=metal.
