hood question

wsup, has anyone here done, or know someone who has, cut the reinforcements off of their stock hood to lighten it and then used hood pins to kep it secured?

what would u need to perform this?

any suggestion adn opinion appreciated, thanks!

the ONLY reason i can think of to cut your hood supports is for hood clearance of some part that jumps straight up. RB motors comes to mind. removing the hood frame isn't needed as it doesn't weigh much, and is integral to making your hood stay flat (hood pins can't create structural integrity)
