My hood wont go all the way down, i did a motor swap recently, but did not take the hood of. it closes but there is like a 3 inch gap between the nose panel and hood. Anyone else experience this? It seems like its hitting the motor but im not sure. Any ideas on how to fix it? The gap is pretty big and im afraid it will lift up on the highway. Please help ASAP

uh.... so the saftey catch is maybe hitting the latch instead of engaging? did you hang a work light from the catch while you had the hood opened? sounds like you got it a a bit out of wack, the other possibulity is taht the latch itself got moved but not sure how you could manage taht without knowing, either way it's just a few bolts and move the parts around till they line up, either the saftey catch or the latch is not lined up, line them upa dn your done
