Well here is the problem as i see it. While driving at 80mph i see my hood reacting to the wind and it looks like its moving is this normal? but i have taken the car up to 140mph and it is fine it does not worsen just same movements... im thinking that the hood latch is loose but it looked fine to me than i got a crazy thought that the hood is light but than i and smiled like an idiot.

Look on top of the air intake that mounts above the radiator, there is a strip of foam that mates with the hood that prevents this. I'm confident that yours is gone or damaged. There are also two pieces of rubber under the hood above the headlights and two rubber strips under the hood betwen the grill and headlight area-they may be gone as well.

However, I'm confident its the foam on the intake. I had same problem and replaced the foam with a strip of 1/2" thick soft foam on top of a 1/2" thick strip of hard foam and problem solved. I used two strips because I didn't know how thick it was supposed to be and wanted the top foam to compress completely if need be.

I've have the same issue too! One time I actually pulled over because I thought that the hood was about to crash into my windshield at any given moment. I realize that it was ok and "figured" that my eyes were playing tricks on me

there are 4 rubber bits 2 of them are adjustable. but after 10-15 years they are shot now unadjustable hard plastic instead of supple rubber.

I just got mine last week from stealor $20 and my hood no longer flibbles anymore.James

Every Q45 owner needs at least one pair in reserve from Joe.

The adjustable rubber corner snubbers are worthless after a short period of time. They get brittle and the threads crack. My local dealer wants 15 bucks a piece for them. I have not tried IOS for price yet. Plus, that foam gizmo Andy mentioned.

My hood giggled like jello when I bought it.
