I think the only way you'll get at the latch without destroying the grille is through the righthand wheel well. It's tucked up behind and inboard of the headlamp, so there may be enough room to get a hand up there. Removing the washer tank might help. If you can reach it, the latch looks to be rear-facing and you should be able to trip the lever with finger pressure.

You won't find a technician anyplace who doesn't rank stuck hood latches right up there with hemorrhoids and split knuckles. It's not likely to be easy.

I did find a youtube video of the mechanism and how to release it and i managed to get to it from under the fender. It was alot easier than i thought it would be after knowing what i was feeling for. The annoying thing is the reason why my hoods alignment has been off is because (i found out after that) the latch doesn't lock. So how the heck did it finally decide to lock that one time the cable fell off it? i have no idea. Got a replacment on the way. The plastic piece on the end of the cable was separated which is prob why it got loose but it shouldn't effect the function atm now that i'm aware of it but i'll prob end of replacing that too . Not sure how much of a pain that is to get to yet if i decide to do so
