Hood latch adjustment

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

Looking for guidance and direction on adjusting the hood and latch on a 2011 EX35 Journey. Any videos or posts that cover this? Presently it closes and locks but it is not tight against the weatherstrip. I just picked up this car this year and am still trying to figure everything out.

There is some guidance on adjusting the hood in the Infiniti FSM on pages 212-213 of the "DLK" section (attached), though you may have already discovered this. I screengrabbed the relevant section.
