A great resource for Nissan Sentra, Infiniti G20, 200sx, Pulsar, NX1600, NX2000, Tsuru, Primera and Sunny owners.

My brother finally added the hood deflector to his 09 SE-R. He was getting too many chips on the hood, and too many dings that have now formed cracks on his windshield.

I like that. I could use one for my '06. Got some stone damage myself (along with some garbage can damage.) First time I really noticed the Bumper on the 07 & later models. They look more solid than the '00-'06 models.

where can I get one of these?

To all with 07+ sentras: I HIGHLY reccommend something like this or the OEM car bra. your paint will be chipped to death if you do not get something like this.

I have an 08 spec and the entire front fascia is chipped...

You can get one from your dealer. I know you cannot find the hood deflector for the Versa at American dealerships, so I'm not sure if they would have this one their either But if you live in Canada, your local dealership can order it for you.

to my knowledge, no hood deflector is available through the american dealerships for the ser/spec v sentra, only a car bra. however, I would love to get one...

Though I will need to have my hood touched up (in that spot due to all the darn stinkin chips) and a new front bumper.

Ya the Versa owners have had a hard time locating one in the US. I got mine and my brothers from our local dealer. Cost is about $80 Cdn for that piece.

Well I have a '06, So I'm not is the same boat as you newer model guys when it comes to finding these parts, but I still suffer from the stone damage issue. The bumper I'm not so concerned with, I plan on replacing that in the very near future but I have 3 spots on my hood that have gone through the paint.

What I'm wondering is if anyone has tried the spray on bra that Duplicolor sells, and how well it works, or if it's just another crappy gimmick in a can.

I have never even heard of a spray on bra before.
If the nose mask was available for my Versa, I would be buying one to use on long road trips. The daily highway trips to work are killing the lower part of my bumper. My hood is in good shape (thanks to the hood deflector) but the lower half of her is not so nice :( I bought touch up paint and touched up what I could ...

Nice looking Hood deflector you have there. I might have to look into on getting one someday.
I think your Bothers B-16 looks better than your Versa. :bigthumb:

To each his own. I bought the Versa because I love it and he bought the sentra because that is what he liked.

baby2020 wrote:Hey guys. Up in Canada here. The car looks good and there is some anticipation for it up here. I'm seriously considering it. I have a quick question. Due to the split grill design, Would a hood/bug deflector be possible on this car? I'm thinking it wouldn't because of the grill being part of the hood on the front edge. This could be a deal breaker for me as I do a lot of highway driving and don't want stone chips all over the hood. We won't know for a while here in Canada about accessories, but does anyone out there know if hood protection is possible. Thanks.

I'm not really understanding what you are saying? Are you looking to buy a brand new Sentra? If so, the grille is not attached to the hood. When the hood opens up it does not bring the grille up with it. If you get a new Sentra, it still has the same hood as the one in the picture, and therefore has the same hood deflector. If you live in Canada, the hood deflector is an accessory available from Nissan dealerships. My dealer had to order it in but it was available to me the following business day.
