Are they actually real carbon fibre? They look like fake CF to me...

Yeah its almost the beauty of it. Its a carbon fiber overlay but done pretty legit except for minor stuff but overall adds the touch of CF im trying to incorporate throughout the car.

I could see where you would think they would have an overlay as well but its probably just the angle and the hazee:/ i wanna get them redone but theyre actually painted the same color as the car kinda like a corvette style or fit... ill say corvette though :P
