So went out to my car after the Hurricane that ravaged our area and now my Dampeners won't hold up...Car only has 44k miles....I know my G had similar issues after around 90k...The dealer wants around 180k each. Infiniti Parts USA wants around 156 each. Anyone use after market on these? or use a Universal? or Have specs on them such as Collapsed Length and Extended Length? Appreciate the help!

I couldn't find the exact listing for my order, it's been over 60 days... but this is the search that I used.
12" extended
8.5" compressed
80lb.
10mm ball

http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nkw=hoo ... _PrefLoc=1

(Edit: after taking a second look, they were actually 80lb. units... for some reason, I was thinking 80lbs. combined)

So I did some searching for local auto parts store...Autozone apparently has no idea even what they are...Advance doesn't have acess to there online store....Yet I did find them from Napa for $31.00 thanks to the specs you gave me! Just saved me a few hundred $$$$$ Really appreciate it! If anyoneelse has issues in the end the part Number is 8195562(is the whole sale part) http://www.napaonline.com/Catalog/Catal ... 0361155208 <Link to the part. and I can verify it fits perfectly! Thanks AltM35 for the help!~

I'm surprised the 40lb. ones worked for you. I tried NAPA 40's (part# 8195562) but had to go up to 90lb. (part# 8195586) before my M35X hood would stay up.
