cut part of the hood skeleton out or prop the hood up with washers on the brackets.

I used longer bolts and nuts w/lock washers at the hinges to prop the hood up about an inch. Just make sure it latches properly because it puts the hook out of alignment.

what did you use as far as mounts to install it in your car?? i ended up using some 325i bmw motor mounts, they dropped it down just perfect.

yea that's the problem, mines lifted the engine up a bit. that's why it's hitting.

Yes and no. They look the same but the JDM ones are cooler.

get the greddy intake manifold, or just get some E30 mounts like that guy said. looks like any E30 6 cylinder mounts will work.

What mount kit are you using in addition to the e30 mounts? R33 crossmember? Top hat/McKinney? Driveshaft?

These look very promising, as you can find the urethane version of these really easy it seems (from a quick google search.)

i am intrigued. I was going to use the stock 240sx mounts with my r32 crossmember for my rb20 swap.

these mounts are lower profile than the stock 240sx ones?

edit i have googled the mounts and there appears to be a ton of "oem" varieties, can you show me a pic of the type you used?

what's wrong with trimming a few spot on your under-skeleton of the hood... don't make a big fuss about it. just do it.
