im not sure what the problem is as stated in the topic.

when i first bought the car i thought it was just the bumper bc of an accident or something, the front bumper and one of the side panels are miscolored. anyway after a while i noticed on the corner of my headlight panels, they were starting to wear away.

i then realized that it was coming in contact with the hood when i raise/lower my headlights. it seems as my bumper is either too high, which makes it look funny, or its the hood that is too low. but i loosened up the latch and tried to raise it up, so that it will close higher, but that didnt work. but if i push down on the hood slightly, it seems as though everything lines up.

so is it my bumper thats f'ed... or my hood... anyone know ?...

Looks like both the hood and bumper to me. Looks like the hood is down slighly on the front edge. It also looks like the bumper may have been pushed in at one time which caused the top if it to pop up and out slightly.

i talked to my friend today with an 88 supra, which has the popup lights too. he said he had the same problem and it was one of the screws that might be loose thats on the hood hinges.

so i tried them... theres 2 on each hinge, theres only 1 on each now bc i tried to push the hood to the side a bit, and it kinda moved, but then the screw holes wouldnt line up anymore. so i left it, its missing a screw on each side. that kind of helped.

then i realized that the latch near the bumper was kinda not straight. so i watched as i slowly put down the hood, watching the hook go into the latch, and it was off... so i moved it until it was kinda straight. the headlight panels dont really run into the hood anymore, but its still kinda bad that i only have 2 screws holding down the latch
