Yea my mom won't ever let me put down salt or crap like that on the driveway, + some advice the salt can absolutely destroy wood floors like you wouldn't believe!

When my family lives in upstate NY (Syracuse) we had the BEST snow blower, the only clean driveway every morning. I cant remember any model number or anything. But the important part was the blade had rubber ends. So it would get all the way down to the asphalt. Really helped with that last layer of slush that was on every other driveway.
