Hong Kong car "scene"?

I was wondering if anyone in NICO has been to Hong Kong? If so is there a big aftermarket "scene" over there as far as japanese performance cars?My almost brother in law is from there and said its not too uncommon to see skylines and such. The reason is that i will be going over there for a month in June and while im over there might as well try to find some parts for my 240 or just things that we cant find over here. I asked my girlfriend, whom is from there about this but she has no idea considering she thought a PT Crusier was a called a PH Driver (HOW CUTE), so it would be safe to say that her knowledge of automobiles in general is limited. Anyway, if any of you could help that would be great. If not thanks for reading.

they make custon talored suits there fo CHEAP! i think its like 100-200 bucks or less for one with italian fabric. awesome shoping there!

yea i cant wait to go! My girlfriend says stuff there is cheap if you know where to go. Fortunatly ill be staying with her family so ill get to go to all the places that the tourists dont know about. The only down side is is that her family speaks very little english besides her and her sister. I tried to learn at least alittle Cantonese before i go, let me tell that shiznit is hard! Cant say i did not try. Anyway, i do hope i can find some stuff for my car however, see if i can find any performance shops or what not.

Open up a business of exporting aftermarket JDM parts and accessories. Hong Kong is one of the most prosperous and economically free countries in the world. There is very little government intervention, and because of this its common to be able to open your own business in a day. Paper work is minimal for it, I think it's just 1 form and your set.

The guy I got my car from moved back to HK. He's planning to pick a S15 or R33 gts when he settles in. He says they sell for about US$10k.I'm sure theres a nice scene over there. And if you decide to do some importing, let us know!!

I've been to Hong Kong, and I can definitely tell you that there's a big scene over there.

I saw a bunch of Skylines and Evos in particular, I even have pics of some (will post when I get home).

I was at Temple Street Night Market (not on Victoria Side) and there was a big crew of Evo Vs/VIs and three white R33s. VIP seemed to be starting to catch on too, with some slammed Chasers, Aristos, and Celsiors wandering about. They had bigarse stickers on them, probably denoting some kind of Triad affiliation, methinks (from the look of the guys driving them).

I am not trying to lie.

But My cousin has 3 Skyline GTRs! Son owns a R32 GTR, Wife owns a R33 GTR and he has a R34 GTR V-Spec II He is about to pick up a R34 4 DR 2.5GT RB25DET with 60.000KM for $8000 IUS

HK Car scene is petty cool. A lot of Min vans has wheels (VOLKS...) and Body kits on them. Petty much like Japan. Everywhere you go there is a Mod Shop!

I go back every 2 years. Since I was born and rise there to my 10 th birthday. then I just go back every 2 year. And Can't wait till end of this year when I am going to back, so can drive the R34! I got a HK drivers license, so I can drive all I want!

If you want to see some street race. Ask around in wong kog area where there is about 10 speed shop all in a role next to each other! But most of the street race happen on the middle of no where. Or a time when there is no bus around. Taxie is Expensive in HK!

SEND ME SOMETHING! I won't get chances ta go to HK or JP anytime soon. but when I do boyyyyo boyy....junkyards will be searched....and I will find some nice Japanese girls to sho me tha sights their country has to offer lol

The Cost of parts in a HK Junk yard is about 50% cheaper then JP. Since no matter how much does the part worth. they are just going to crush it with car! but of course if its made of 999.9 Gold. Then thats another story! LOL If you been to HK, you will know what I mean. Like HK people would say. There is more Gold Store then Rice Store!

If want to find S13 parts, it going to be hard since Nissan Never import them to HK. but many dealer them self imported the car from Japan! So its somewhat hard to find. Also If you looking for S13 part. Just Tell them you want Flying Chicken Parts!J/K Because the nick name of the S13 is Flying Chicken. The reason why they named the S13 Flying Chicken, is because how much it understeers! Anyway Its not hard to find parts in HK. Also If you go buy new mod parts. You somewhat can talk the price down alittle sometime! if its a high price Item!
