I've owned this car for over five years now. I've never seen one that is freaking SWEET.

You know what I'm talking about. We've all seen one's with really crappy sound systems, but it's not like the stock one sounds like a freaking Geo Metro.

I wish this forum was like the S2ki forum. With peeps who love their ****. I think the hardest part about this car is finding parts that fit in it.

Imagine someone who actually made it rear wheel drive. this thing would be a drift machine!

anyhoo. I hope to first restore mine to the same state it was in when it rolled off the lot. Then, go crazy with it. I have 182,000+ on my car. Some might say it's stuipid to put money into it.

But i see it this way. If i make my car manual, lower it, and make sure the engine runs in perfect shape, it will still cost less then going out and buying another car that has the same thing.

plus the frame on this car is freaking amazing.....

anyhoo. I hope to post more. I'm done lurking.

Welcome to NICO!!!

We've got a few members who have twin turboed their J's with great success and converted it to manual transmission.

A few have lowered it by building custom supension components since there are nn aftermarket lowering components for this car.

Are you talking about the s2k or the j30... they are both RWD.

I bought my J30 for $1,200 in June hoping it'd be a cheap way to ride around in something comfortable. Man this car is turning my wallet! I would be lying if I said it wasn't worth it though. Even after one of my former jobs valeting cars at a five star hotel (where I drove Lexus and BMWs alot), this car has to be one of the funnest cars I've driven. Not only does it turn like it's on a track but it goes pretty fast too (and I can get it to accelerate from 0 o 60 in seconds). On top of that, my J30 gets compliments left and right from friends and coworkers despite having a paint job that's worn and looks like crap. I also like the stock sound system alot; sounds better than many after-market systems.

On a side note, the back seats are almost as comfortable as the front (or at least if you're somewhat on the short side like me). Sometimes, I like to get my laptop and/or MP3 player and just camp out in the back of my car.
