Stock 240 S14 I should sayAny upside to this type of fitment or should I scrap these wheels:

16X8.5 front 17X9 back with +40 offsets

-if anything this is what I'd like to specifically address in this particular thread:

what is peoples opinions about having bigger wheels in back like this?

I doubt those will even fit on a 240. 8.5" wide +40 offset wheels dont play nicely with the struts. From the rear of the car, those 9" +40 wheels will look like a pigeon toed kid doing ballet.

Not really sure about the bigger diameter rear wheels. I know cars like the NSX are setup like that, but not sure why.

Those front wheels won't fit, period. You can't go larger than a +28 with 8.5 wheels on front of s13 with coilovers.

Edit: I see that you don't have coilovers. However, the front wheels still will not clear. You will need to run a large spacer, or a small spacer and stretched tires for them to clear the struts.

What do those wheels look like?

May not be good for a 240, but that would be nice on a Q45 .

Look at the pic in this thread. That's the space I have between stock strut and wheel. It's a 17x8 +38.

OK the car they would be for is a S14 also there is another option I found out and the offsets are slightly different, but it doesn't seem worth the struggle.

-offsets for the front +38 17X8.5-offsets for the rear +42 18X9

1. And so fitment would be nice for a Q45, really maybe I should look for a Q?

2. Does this slight actuall offset difference change much when on a S14 not S13?

3. Curious to know what the effect of wheels an inch larger in diameter on back be?
