Oh no, I think they are all huge steaming piles of s***. Honda engineers couldn't tell their asses from a lug nut.

I like Hondas and Toyotas the way I like my refrigerator -- functional and forgotten.

Still itching to get a 91 NSX.

Exactly. I don't dislike Honda, but I certainly wouldn't be buying one as a fun car. Though, like Jesda, I would happily drive an early NSX.Toyota, though...I have strong feelings of dislike for them. Don't really know why, but I really hate toyota.
GTR wrote:I see, well are there any particular other car manufacturers that make tuners to the taste of any Nico forum guys?
Not really "tuners."Form me, the only Japanese brands I'd buy are Nissan and Mazda. If I had spare funds, I would seriously pimp a Millenia. And I wouldn't mind a first gen MX6 either. A last-gen 929 would be the hotness as well...

I'm also very much a loyal Cadillac lover. But Caddy is a bit outside the "tuner" realm.

I guess I'm an "old guy" car person, kinda like Jesda--just not so fond of late 90's Chrysler.

You should really consider writing a book of Toyota/Honda quotes. You'd definitely have a buyer in me.

Ya know, I used to hate Hondas with a passion. Then when I got here to Japan, and saw some really decently tuned cars that it hit me. It's not the cars that I hate, it's the dumb son-of-a-bishez that drive them thinking a fart cannon will increase horsepower 3-fold.

I don't so much hate Hondas as I hate the A$$E$ who drive them, I mean a Honda can be a clean car. My friend has a 93 civic Hatch that is pretty much all JDM with a referied H22 motor and that Bisch is clean and fast, very fast! I also like Toyota too, Besides my 95 Zenki which is my project car I have a 2001 4-Runner Limited Edition and the wife drives a 2001 BMW 325i. I would love to have the time to pick up a Hachiroku and restore it. Yeah most Honduh owners are pretty ricey and that is mostly the problem I have with them....well that and I really don't like FWD

I'm morbidly curious as to how that would work out. Granted, I love Nissans, but I don't love Nissans.

btw, I was being quite fecicious. Hondas are wonderfully engineered cars, certainly among the best in the world, especially their engines. Of course it's the driver that ruins it, they can do the same thing to any Nissan or Toyota, and often do.

Honda's SUCK!!!!! WHOOOO!!!!

If it isnt Nissan, Toyota, or Subaru it isnt worth me spending my money on it.

I realised today, that I actually only like Toyota trucks. Thier cars dont do much for me. A mark III or IV Supra would be nice thou.

Also, I sorta like those Volvo's.

Honda SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!

P.S. At first I didnt like Honda because of all the little tards driving them.I figured it wasnt the cars fault if the owner is an idiot. But if it was a good car, they probally woundt be able to afford it anyway.

Hmmm, 29 years old. All grown up. I dont like Honda's, and that is a fact. Not going to lie and say I do like them to make someone feel good. I hate GM, and Dodge more.

I dont bash Honda's often. But someone asked if we hated Honda or the ones these little dorks screw up, so I answered.

And by the way, I dont have a Nissan.

I have a Metro. 2nd biggest POS on the planet next to the Corsica. I still hate Honda.

I am not refering to you jesda, but the orginal poster

but, these kind of threads are just unproductive and goes no where.... just senseless brand bashing as if honda deserve no credit at all

if you want to say how s*** honda is, perhaps it can be posted at honda-tech.com and not here, it is really silly to beat on a dead body since no one will defend it

Naw, "s*** nissan" isn't quite the right term I think. Also, of all the brands to call "low end" out of Japan, Honda and Nissan are two of the four that are obviously not. Suzuki is the "low end" Japanese brand, but Honda and Nissan aren't.

Calm down man. Obviously, this didn't degrade to a "Honda sucks and Nissan pwnzzzzeszorxz2es!" thread (didn't even start like that...).

Your post is the first hostile one in the entire thread.

So who needs to grow up?

No not all of us hate honda. I like them personally. I think its more a feeling of bewilderment and disappointment watching some young owners put a whole bunch of phony performance crap onto their cars (gigantic wings, non-functional scoops, banners/decals, oversized chrome exhaust tips, etc) without spending a dime on making it perform better.

FWIW, the phenomenon(sp?) of "hated Hondas" was simply a matter of opportunity. In the beginning, these vehicles (1) were cheap, (2) were EVERYWHERE, and thusly (3) "custom" parts were widely available. Combine that with Honda's involvment in motorsports (both 2- and 4-wheeled) and the many wannabe racers, boil and stir. Wait 15 minutes and you have... well, this. Had Nissan, Mazda, or Toyota been fated to be in the same position, those brands would have a great deal of animosity cast in their direction as well. In general, if anything were to be looked down upon, it should be the ignorance that leads some to believe that a wing, rims, cut springs, paint, and stickers will magically transform their grocery-getting econobox into a Le Mans domination machine.

I drive a Honda!Well an Acura 3.2TL, but who's counting. I like my car, sure I'd rather have a manual RWD instead of an Auto FWD but it gets me where I need to go. It's very comfortable, it can move pretty well to a certain extent, and is very practical for the area where I live (snow). I'm not gonna pretend my car is sporty at all. My only modifications are a full audio setup. Though I am looking at a new exhaust system because the tips are screwed up. The bottom of the tips are sort of flattened from when my brother backed onto a curb or something.

I think I'm gonna end up in a 4 door manual transmission civic with the st louis arch on the back of it but I'm gonna take the wing off as soon as I get it.....don't hav the money to get a nissan from japan right now, (customs and shipping is a killer) so I'll buy my friends civic, thro on a turbo kit, sell it and get my nissan basically...

Sigh....at least his 4 door is faster than his 2 door....and it has A/C
