Embarrassingly, I never knew this car existed until this month's issue of Automobile Magazine arrived.

According to the article it's two feet shorter than a Miata and early versions used chains to drive the rear wheels. It buzzes along at over 5500rpm at 65mph. Redline is at 8500rpm!!

I might be in love.

HA! I had a long time neighbor who had a mustard 600 coupe like that. Cute car, but sooo tiny.

Jesda, Honda did not sell many S600's in the US. They were priced too high for what they were and had a lotta competition. they sold against cars like the MG Midget/Austin Healey Sprite (which had a cult following and were inexpensive), and Fiat 850 sypder.

Jay Leno has a video of his restored S600M on his website: http://www.jaylenosgarage.com. It is a prime example with an awesome sounding engine, and is a must watch video for anyone who likes S600-800 cars.
