Folks:

Honda will stop production of the S-2000 after a 41% drop in sales. Cadiallac will also discontinue its XLR production and focus on their Cadilac CTS. This says a alot about how far the Cadillac CTS has come in such a short period of time. Infiniti and BMW are going to get a run for their money in the G37 and #-series category form Cadillac. However, Nissan 370Z is going to gain seriously from the end of producing the S-2000.

They suck anyways.

I need to start putting inferior cars to shame like you do.

When are you getting a dyno??? And where are those MPG test numbers?

Nate, still working on it . Have been busy of late. Still working on it.

Oh, this morning, a cop around where I work came up to the parking deck where I park and told me that someone complained that I race my G in the parking deck. Of course, this was based on the loud noise my exhaust makes. He told me to reduce the noise next time, and drive more gently.

The cop actually staked out to nail only me this morning, for the purported crime of racing in the parking deck. he was amazed how loud my exhaust was with test pipes at low speeds. I was amazed he would stake out just to nail me. Anyways, the cop was nice! Seems like he knows I have a hot rod that deserves to be driven hard.

I had one of those types, but the one I dealt with was a jerk.

I was at Ontario Airport here in SoCal and I think I double parked in the loading zone (the loading zone is at least 2 cars wide). The rent a cop started yelling and told me to move up about 2 car lengths to another spot. I kept it in 1st while I moved, then he followed me and told me that I shouldn't be driving so fast or so loud. I told him it's a manual G35. That's how they sound. He insisted that I did it on purpose and that I was giving people the feeling that I was going fast.

Do I give a **** if you think I was going fast when I was driving 10 mph? H3LL F*&^ING NO!

I like the CTS, they are great cars. The only thing I don't like are the tail lights. Those long square corner lights have got to go.

Sounds like my siutation. The cop, I beleive, may have been clocking my speed inside the parking deck to verify if I was racing or not. Once I saw him, my instincts told me that someone had called the cops on me. And, frankly, inside a parking deck, my exahust is really loud and it can scare poor old grannies trying to get to work or coming out of their car, with the sudden blast of those sweet sweet Stillen exhaust and test pipes. Cops love to tail me to see if I am gonna step on it or not. Almost like a cat and mouse game for me.

Same here.

S2K was a fun car but after 8-9 years should have been changed style and update the engines bla bla bla.

Agree with you Jacko lots of people from S2K will be going with the 370Z.

Kinda sad to see the s2000 go, great auto-x car and the CR.......what a freakin car!As far as exhaust, I got two tickets (from the same cop!) for loud exhaust in my Evo.....granted I did run a homemade straight pipe. But I fought them both in court and won. What was really cool about the car is any trailing throttle or quick shifts, the car would throw flames out. My bumper actually had melted in the spot where the exhaust didn't quite sit straight

This reminds me of when I first got my 3000GT VR4 in '97. I used to pick up my wife in front of a small office building that had pre-pay parking out front. I drove a red Buick skylark (grandma POS) that sort of blended in. I never had any problems with the ticket cop on his 3-wheeled ticketmobile. Then, I trade in the grandma car for the 3000GT...The very first time I tried to pick up my wife with the new sports car, the ticket guy comes over to try and mark my tire. When he realized that I was in the car, he told me if I didn't move it, I'd get a ticket. He had a mean, jealous look too...it was a really sharp car
