Would it be okay to use like a honda fluidyne radiator, it would clean up the engine bay so much, being like half the size.

i say anything will work if you are willing to take to make the necessary accomodations to make it work. couple of modified top brakcets and some fiddling with the hoses and you set.

Do you really want to suffer the eternal stigma of retrofitting a honda radiator in a 240sx?!? Also, it wouldn't cool as well as an aftermarket radiator made for the 240sx, just by virtue of its size.

I was thinking about radiator from other car. I saw Mustang race radiator on SummitRacing.com, it has about the same dimensions as KA rediator, except for thickness. So mounting wouldn't require much. The best thing about it is that it's less than 200 bucks. If I'm not wrong cheapest KOYO KA radiator I saw was $380. What you guys think about this option?

There is a special in Sponsor's forum - $305 for KOYO. Now the difference isn't that big.

i though a sponsor here was sellin'em for $275, as for the mustang 1, you will most likely have to run electric fans as puttin the fan shroud is not gonna fit there.(it almost didnt fit putting a 95 240sx rad into a 93, but it did, the 95 240sx is bigger than the 93, but i did it cause i really needed a rad at the time)

So if its made for a smaller motor like a 1.8? It can't cool a 2.4? I have a parts civic sitting here, so It would be no biggie to take the brackets..

how thick is a stock radiator?

Honda uses a half size dual core radiator on their del sol "vtec" model, the dohc, that is twice as thick as regular civic/del sol radiators. i know a lot of honda guys, including me, that switched to it from the full size integra radiator with no problems but yeah, that was on a smaller motor.

I would get a fluidyne which is thicker than the KA one, just about half the width.
