Shortened version: Honda has invented a hat that you wear that uses your brain waves to control simple functions of the car (turn on indicators, lights, navigation, etc...), but are waiting to release it until they can make it safe and stylish.

Say whaaaaaaaaa?

The only thing I would want it to do is the wipers. Maybe change the song on the iPod, but that's it. Still neat stuff though.

I would be concerned about a car understanding the driver's thoughts. For example, if you glance at a pretty girl, the computer could interpret those thoughts by extending the antenna and accidently spray the windshield washer...

Lol, took me a second to figure out what was going on in that picture. That's pretty funny though.

Honda didn't invent this device, it has been worked on for almost two decades by several different companies already.

I feel i should mention that the technology is not foolproof because no two people think exactly the same way, therefore the brainwaves produced aren't the same.
One guy might think "operate wipers" and it could be what Honda has deemed as the thought for "left blinker". Also, think about indecisive drivers and the havoc this would cause with blinkers... yikes.

Drivers can barely keep their minds on the task as it is...imagine having your errant thoughts control semi-vital functions of a car.
Eeep.

Yeah, if people can't use there brains already, this might be beyond some.

I dont want this honda version, maybe a helmet based on the AH-64 Helmet to control my machine gun turret and have nightvision and such.

^^See, I like that idea a lot better. Machine gun control > Blinker control.
