Part of that problem though, at least here in AZ (don't know if other states have these as well), is that during rush hour they turn on those stop lights RIGHT at the entrance to the freeway. So, you're literally 30 yards away from being able to merge into traffic, and have to STOP. WTF? Now I have to put the f*** hammer down to speed back up to freeway speed in order to merge in. That's great for my gas mileage.
