Honda CrossTour

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

Is this Honda's butt-ugly response to the Infiniti EX35?

Looks like a 5 door Accord and hatch isn't helping things.

I am not really in love with the EX shape, I find the nose to be out of proportion with the rest of the car.

If it was all the same color I don't think it'd look that bad.I actually don't like the EX35's rear end (I like how it looks from the side and the rear at an angle, but looking at the rear end straight on it looks weird).

That's definetly something right there. Sort of looks like the Toyota Venza thing and sort of like that dreadful looking Volvo C30 (in sloped theory). It looks like a slightly larger version of the new insight. Honda has some interesting engineering concepts. I personally do not like the path they have taken over the last decade.

I think the 2008 EX35 was designed as a test market car (one year production) using the components of a G with a slightly larger body and different interior appointments. I really like the seats (unique to the EX) the seating position and performance characteristics make the EX more fun than an MB R350, Lexus RX. For a new vehicle like this in a market they are new to I think the EX is a pretty good addition the the Infiniti lineup. The exterior styling is something else, it retains the G inspired look but makes it a little different. The EX style has grown on my and the "utilititarian" aspects make it a decent vehicle although I would be reluctant to load it up with top soil and mulch.
