Nope. Looks to be an S2000 engine in an old RWD Corolla.

No I meant, did they they turn a FWD motor into a RWD platform somehow. I don't know what RWD honda motors look like, so just asking if that motor is out of a FWD honda.

Obviously its RWD in that car... I meant originally... where the engine came from

Nevermind forget this thread already, my question came across wrong I guess...

I can obviously see that the motor in question in this car... is RWD. I meant, was the motor out of a civic or something that was ORIGINALLY FWD?? I don't know what an s2000 motor looks like (as in details, shape, visually, not how it is setup) so I can't really answer my own question

hehe I think you completely missed the point of the thread. anyways yea now I know its from an s2000, and was not from a FWD donor car.... but that was my original question: Did that engine come out of a FWD car and they put it in a RWD setup car. I wasn't really asking WHERE the engine came from, just how it was set up in its mother car god forbid we see a RWD b18 or something right?

do me a favor and re-read what i just quoted, slowly.

"i know its from an s2000, and was not from a FWD donor car...""...did the engine come out of a FWD car?..."

wait, u know s2000's are RWD... right?

that motor in a s2000=RWDthat same motor in a carolla=still RWD

i think you were just horribly confused, hope this helps

I don't think they had VVT....

I believe they DO however get the timing chain instead of a belt...

Maybe YOU should reread your quote. I merely restated what my original question was, and it was already answered. I wasn't asking the question again. I was just stating to adrians_13 what my original question was and how it is now answered and done with. You took two seperate statements out of context.

I know that motor in THAT corolla is RWD. I was asking if that same motor happened to be FWD in another car (its , but it doesn't matter anyways, obviously I seem to be having a problem of expressing my questions

(Basically.... I asked if they took an engine out of a FWD setup car, turned it sideways and stuck a RWD transmission on it... does THAT question make more sense?) *disclaimer, im not asking this question again, merely restating what my original question was (which has been answered numerous times thank you...)

It strikes me as a little odd that the F20/F22's valve cover is bigger than it's oil pan. What the crap is in there that it needs to be so big?

Yo Mutiny, its from an S2000 (RWD).

Sorry, everyone else was saying it, so I figured I'd jump on in too. :D

You know this is a pretty sweet little set up. Turboed S2000 engine = hotness.
