The 2006 - 2008 Honda Civics have become very lousy performers. Now I know why there is a Honda Civic Si.

Met a black Honda Civic this night and he had a hard time pulling away from me. Eventually he did pull away, but it wasn't more than one car length from me and he was using everything the car had. Mind you, my car or B-13 is at least 13 years older than the Honda Civic with 252,000 miles, and the Honda also had an aftermarket exhaust. I was amazed that my car could give this newer car a serious run for its money. At some point, it seemed as though they were panicking that i was about to disgrace them with an older car so they gave the car every darn thing it had in order to pass me by barely one car length. Again, I beleive weight was on the side of my B-13---I will never sell this car, and when the engine falls apart, i will buy another used engine and keep driving it.

I have been disgracing many trucks with my B-13 all night---they seem surprised at how quick it is off the lot. I did not want to go home tonight. I am enjoying my little pocket rocket so mcuh that I have simply stopped driving the G as much as i used to. Its almost like I have a sleeper car. I wonder if the 1.8 litre Nissan Altima Manula transmission engine will fit into the engine bay and transmission of the B-13?

LOL. I had my first "kill" in my car today. It wasn't really worth the waste of gas, but...

I was sitting at a light, and a kid in a mid 90’s firebird was revving up next to me. It wasn’t even close. I had him dusted in 2nd gear. The G would have smoked the **** out of him too, but I still had to tell of this story. Now I can’t wait to line up against a G or a Z with the standard bolt-ons.

I'm glad that your B-13 is running great and gives you much enjoyment.

I enjoy regularly spanking civics with my G or my altima, my GF can't understand my deep sentiment in burying these hondas and acuras, but I assure her, it will be OK.

I sometimes keep it in second gear, and when they think they can get away I'll nail their coffin right there... I was able to squeak away barely from a Mazda rx8 going down a long hill on the hwy, I know he was really bitter because he backed off and disappeared into the distant dimming headlights on the horizon in my rear view mirror... If I could be so bold, I think he was in disbelief... The altima that could.

The GF will often say to me, why don't you go do this when I'm not in the car with you reaching 160km/hr on the dial... I again assure here, it will be OK.

When I had a 94 altima GXE, I was in front of a brand new 05 civic si, which at the time was brand new... I was leading up the onramp, and he was itching to try and get by me, flexing his huge civic muscles... I kept it in second patiently, and when I saw the apex of the turn straighten onto the hwy, I gunned it down and his civic si was falling back, falling, falling... soon I had two small lights in my rearview, they could not touch my old altima at all... by the time I was merging, I was doing a good 55mph+ in second gear, I moved up to third, near 90mph, it is a much longer gear than I would like it to be, I decided to slow down and bask in my victory, flying behind me came the civic, spoiler sticking out like a gay parade flag, dude probably kicking himself for buying an si. I was happy with my first purchase with Nissan, my outlook on cars have changed, and I'll be a dedicated fan for life!!!

No RP yet! I run Castrol 20W-50 GTX--best dino oil in the world. On start up, I have to let it warm up for about 5 - 10 minutes idling. The car takes forever to warm up, and if left to sit, it cools just as fast. In essence, it takes longer than my G to warm up but it cools faster than my G.

Time for a change to RP and don't forget to list that on the rear window!

Beaner, you know ive got mad love for you bro, but I think a Z will pull you right now. My freinds Stg2 07 wrx with catless header/up-pipe, spt intake, cat-less turbo-back, and cobb stg2 ends up dead even with my other buddies 06 350z with a headerback exhaust. I also care to question, whats with all the hate on Civics?!

I wait for that day. I want to see if I'm even close to how I'm picturing you.

Logan, sorry, we don't hate civics, my buddy has a Naturally aspired 12 second 92 civic CX hatch... I just think it's funny when you smoke one... They can be rediculously fast, but then again I was taken by a boosted neon in my G... oh, and an early boosted VW rabbit... So really, it does not matter what car you're racing... with a stupid amount of work, most cars can be tuned to preform. I just prefer the Nissan Brand, as opposed to Honda, but that's me, this is a forum and that is my opinion.

I used to own a 92 civic hatch myself, so I've earned the right to B#$(... I had it riced like no other... I have gone into details before, but I value my relationships with the other members... he he... it was a ghetto civic, so ghetto indeed.

N/A in this 12's is quite nice. Ive owned 5 240's and a sentra and various other Nissans, I love them dont get me wrong, It was just time to try something new. The biggest mistake ive ever made was buying my Saturn Ion Redline, its garbage other than the Recaro Seats.

I know of one Civic SI owner...actually 2 of them. One of them knows his car is slow and accepts it. The other has a completely stock SI and SUPPOSEDLY the people at Kay Jewelers love talking to her about her stock SI

She must buy something everytime she's there.

SI's aren't fast. I could take them on with my aging I30 (I miss that car btw). I recently have gotten into the habit of holding my gear and keeping it higher in the RPM range. Damn is the G quick when it's in its power band.

If only I could have the variable exhaust open up a little smoother, we'd be flying everywhere (I don't like the sudden boost of speed.)

well, you cant say that the K20 is a totally a waste, i drop some vitamin K in my EG and it becomes a low 13 high 12 second car.

Ya know, RP has 20W-50 in their line up. I wonder how it would affect an old engine, that was made prior to 2003?????

I hold the gear all the time in my G----I can do 60 miles per hour in 2nd gear in the G.

By the way, I am about to get an induction service to clean the intake, throttle body and valves in my B-13 and then replace the spark plugs from the NGK two electrode platinum type to the NGK 4 electrode platinum type. I bet she will have slightly more torque and power after this, especially with the K&N filter.

That's why I want to line up with one. This car is without a doubt faster than my G was, and as far as "On the paper" racing is concerned, it is faster than a 350z. (stock for stock - 237 whp for the wrx and 226 whp for the 350z plus there is a few hundred pound difference in weight) Dunno if you know Logan, but the 09 wrx got an extra 40hp and tq. They gave it the 08 STi's turbo, and suspension and a much better F/A tune.

But since I am really curious, I would REALLY like to line up against one, since "paper racing" is gay, and proves nothing.

I agree Noah, you would have to find a stock Z, youll find that just a TBE and Cobb Stg2 would make a world of difference in your wrx, youll gain a whole lot of spool up time also. get on AIM if you have time.

I'd say within their top of the line engines, it was/is decent. It's the Frankenstien creations of using more powerful Honda/Acura motors in the smaller Hondas and Acuras that were most impressive. If the GF's CRX motor ever dies, I'll be looking into a fun replacement. Even 160 HP would be fun in that thing.

yes, the k20 type r motor in my friends coupewith only RBS IM swap, and header(NASA H4 compliant) is 230 all motor strongI had to squeeze in my b20 hatch to come close. The frankenstein stuff is what i like about hondas..F to H, interchangable B series motors, even the tiny D has combinable oem parts to achieve well over fourteen to one compression ratios(GX natural gas pistons).awesome stuff, but at least out here in socal there are lots of good reasons to stay out of that game. Kids and cops being my top two.Kids steal your stuff and street race, cops pop your hoods and impound cars...
