the pre 97 prelude si had 160 hp and like 143 torque. My friend just got a jdm engine for his and it runs ok but its still a honda. another one of my friends has a 94 si and he claim he can beat me even though his car is stock except for an intake. What do yall think. I tell him hes full of ****.

Your car will take him. Unless you have a "horrible launch" or "missed shift" or blah blah blah.

this is what happend with my friend's 89 vs my friend in his 92 or 93 lude:

240 takes him first and second. 3rd he is toast. We (me in the 240 not driving) stop at the end of 3rd with the lude 4 car lengths + ahead of us. The KA24E's lack of HP makes every one sad. Sad like a sad panda. But a DE might be a different story with that extra 15.

I think the honda guys are all posers, they all have those cans on the back of their cars that make them sound like my *** after mexican food!

Well, coming back down to earth... the Honda Prelude is a nice, well-built car with adequate performance, but its seriously lacking in personality. The used resale prices are ridiculously high.

If I ever got a honda it would be a 98-00 accord V6 coupe. For nissanrcers reasons. (Well maybe not the performance but yeah..)

no to jack or anything, but welcome to NICO ni4-32, thats quite a garage u have there, u should defintely get some pictures and post them in members rides' section, now back to the topic, the only prelude ive ever drive was a o1 'sh' prelude, had no power until VTEC, wasnt slow, but nothing too quick, a friend of mine at work as a o1 prelude sportshift thing, and he runs consistant 16.4s with the spare tire out of his trunk, so their not that quick, mainly because they are pretty heavy

I have owned several hondas, they are great daily drivers, unless you do some serious work. Honda makes some good gas efficient engines that create some power concidering how small they are. Nick

No...riced out hondas suck. Hondas in general are effecient workhorses that can be used as very reliable beaters.

Quote »"HONDAS sUcK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"[/quote]I have afriend who has that same opinion, about Force outboard engines, until I towed him 2 miles back to his dock in my POS Bayliner. Since then, the motor crapped out. I guess he was right, but I don't think he is as boisterous about it, anymore.

I like the Lude. The only one worth having IMO would be a VTEC.With out the torque you at least need the VTEC to kick in.

Yeah, im gonna go ahead and say the prelude isnt the best choice for a car. The V-tec Special Handling ones are fun in a parking lot but they're tanks. HEAVY! 240's interior beats the hell out of the prelude too. I do have a special place in my heart for the v-tec integra tho. Something about a stock 8000rpm redline.
