hey guys, i was wondering if any of you did this or have info on it. I want to make a turbo kit for KA24e.

my friend is going to give me his sr20 exhaust manifold, so i was thinking of cutting the flange off the sr20 and then cut the flange off the KA and weld the flange of the KA with the manifold of the SR. Have anybody done that?

I'm trying to also get custom piping and also the BOV and other stuff needed for the kit for $500, if it goes higher, i rather hold out and save for a sr20 instead.

i don't think this is a reasonable way to be turbo. just make a weld "L" manifold. or save up.shaun

Sorry to tell ya but your not going to be able to do it.... I mean its nothing personal but if you cant see the difference in a ka24e manifold and a ka24de / sr20det manifold, then I dont think you will make it on your own..

Ill just say the runners will in no way line up, and you can do the reasearch and see why...

I am going to put together about a 600$ setup in my car but I have a almost free turbo to use, the knowledge of how to get 370's to work with a hacked maf and the ability to make a not so hacked, hacked maf, as well as the ability to weld up my own manifold using cast runners, and all the necissary intake and exhaust piping using mandrel bends....

well, i hate to say it sucks that the idea didn't work, but it wasn't my idea to start with, i didn't even want a turbo on my KA, but my friend pitch the idea to me. I saw his sr20 only once, so i didn't take time to study it, all i've been working with is the KA engine. So it's not me who can't tell the difference if i never even work on a sr20 before.
