anyone ever have experience with making speaker grills? i'm gonna have to make my own because the ones that came with my CDT's just won't fit properly with the curves i have for the speaker "pods"...

i wouldn't bother with speaker grills, except i just don't want some thugs smashin the windows and punchin holes through em...

any help/suggestions would be awesome!

do you want ones that are really beefy and hard to break or do you want ones that are really transparent to sound?

they're 3 way components, so I need grills for both the 4" and 6.5"... the thing is, the speaker "pods" that i made have these dope curves to them, so the grill can't have too wide of a lip/ring because otherwise they'll just hang over the edges of the curves and it will look stoopid, that's why i'm not going with the factory ones

cool man.. those would be dope, but would only work for subs, cause you don't really want an acrylic sun shaped plate in front of component speakers... kinda ruins the imaging :pface

gonna try and fabricate some kind of metal mesh plate supported by 1/4 inch metal spacers (and i just came up with that idea while typing this post, brilliant!! :D)
