There's WAY more to it than just the visors.
Hm. Shouldn't be very much more. I put a Homelink visor in my Talon; the antenna is built into the visor, and simply powering it up -it used the power plug for the vanity mirror light, no mod- "installed" it. Of course, I can no longer fard in the dark, dammit. In one of the blurbs for the J30, they crow that Homelink was an added feature for the 97 model year~ I have a 97½, with the highest VIN I've run across, and the car doesn't seem to realize those three little buttons are supposed to be there. Neither does the Owner's Manual (which also says the windows will work off the remote fob [nope]). Homelink is in the rear-view mirrors on many cars (Mercedes, for one), and is available in aftermarket rear-view mirrors (often with compass, or thermometer, or who knows what all) if you can bend over far enough for $300 to not hurt. The visors are clamshell affairs that will pop open with a putty knife- if the Maxima visor is too poor a fit, take its guts out and install in a J30 visor.
