Hi guys,

I am a new member to this forum. Please bare with me if this topic has already brought up. Have anyone encountering any issues with programming the homelink feature? I have a Genie opener with roaming codes. I have made several attempts...following the step by step instructions from the owners manual. I even reset and clear the memory several times and the system did not take the program.

Thanks in advance for your help!

i ran into the same problem as you did; i forgot that i needed to hit the button on the side of the garage door motor that allows the "learning" of another device. in this case, our Infiniti Homelink system. if you still don't understand let me know; it's pretty simple and now my homelink opens and closes my garage door : )

Mine works fine but I too had roaming codes and it does require following the directions that includes hitting the "learn" button on the side of the door opener. You can't do it from the remote only.

I remember last time I programmed mine, I was holding the homelink button for about 5-7 seconds (after hitting the learn button on the opener), the light was blinking slowly / steadily, I let off, pushed it again, then it started blinking fast and caught the code. Kinda weird

I'm having trouble doing my wife's pathfinder though with an almost identical homelink mirror.
