I was just wondering if anyone here has pictures of their home made air- intake install, and if you have instructions, that would be great. And I have a 1992 240sx SE 5-speed ka24de coupe.

yea, i mean the actual intake piping, can you buy stuff from Home Depot like tubing and fittings so that I can make a cold air intake and attach my K&N to it. I just want to see a pic or instructions on how to make a cold air intake. Not one where it goes down through the fender, I mean a regular on that goes from the left side of the engine (when standing facing the front of the car) to the right and stops where the air box is.

Here's 2 of 'em:

Both custom, 3" mandrel bends, fabbed at home by the owner.

First is my old one:

This is Russ' (aka R240NA, the guy organizing the national convention...):

Benefits: Shorter piping = better throttle response, but 3" pipe is overkill (too low velocity of intake air) for a 'stockish' KA - I'd say it's necessary/beneficial once you have cams, header, and exhaust to compliment it...mine made a difference at around 150rwhp, where I felt the Injen was a restriction.

orion: I have a question, how did you get the nipples on your intake to plug in your lines? Did you weld them on or use another method?

How did you get those metal pipe to be bent like that? I know that I will most likely not be able to use a welder or anything of that sort, Do you have a Parts List of the parts, bends of metal(or angles) , pieces, or anything of that sort.
