I just picked up my 2010 Rogue with The Premium, Moonroof and Leather Packages. I noticed I didn't have a Homelink Mirror with Compass (Standard in the 2009).

The Specifications Page is really confusing because it shows the HomeLink® Universal Transceiver AND the Auto-dimming rearview mirror BOTH as Mirrors coming with the Leather Package? But when you look specifically at the "Packaged Options" Page for descriptions it shows the following:

* Leather-appointed seats* Heated front seats* 6-way power adjustable driver’s seat with power lumbar* Driver’s one-touch auto-up power window feature* Auto-dimming rearview mirror * Leather-wrapped steering wheel* Leather-wrapped shift knob* Heated outside mirrors with timer

Should I bring this uo to the dealer?

It appears that there is conflicting info on the website. Do you have a 2010 Rogue printed brochure?

Did your window sticker include the HomeLink as a listed feature?

In looking at a few pictures of 2010's on e-bay, it appears they only have the dimming rv mirror without the HomeLink feature. They do show pics of the window stickers of these vehicles, but the print is too small for me to read on my laptop.

I'd call Nissan customer service and inquire first and gauge their response, if they say it's not included then I'd bring up that the website has conflicting information. Maybe if you catch a nice enough CS person they may help you to get a mirror swapped in with HL.

I also see the shipping charges are now $800.00, yikes...

Best of luck to you

Wow, I'm impressed you found this!

It appears Nissan did indeed delete the Homelink rearview mirror option for 2010. Read the 2010 spec sheet... HomeLink is no longer offered:

http://www.nissannews.com/download.do?id=859

I suspect there is an error on the website as all of the other documentation I've read does not mention the Homelink mirror.

Another question for you:

The Premium and Leather packages came with the manual/paddle shift transmission option seen below. Do you have this? See the silver shaped paddles behind the steering wheel and the manual +/- gate on the transmission shift lever below:

I was asking bbiedny. But since you mentioned it, I looked up the specs again for the '08's and '09's.

In '08 it was possible to get an '08 FWD SL with Premium Pack that was equipped with paddle shifters. I discovered Nissan deleted the paddle shifters option from the FWD models '09! You could only get them on AWD models.

Holy crap! you are right, no shift paddles! they were there in the 2009 I drove as was the Homelink mirror, but I settled on the 2010 since it was about 2K cheaper. Neither would have been a deal breaker for me, in fact I guess the paddles are enough of a non-issue where I didn't notice it until you made me look

Thanks for checking bbiedny.

Sorry to be the break the news to you though. Nissan (and many automakers for that matter) do not 'advertise' all the changes to thier models... especially when they delete something.

I do not have paddle shifters (SL FWD, no prem pack) and I don't miss them. I test drove a couple of Rogue's with them and just didn't care for it. The CVT programming is pretty good as-is and found the manual shift more of a nuisance... I kept forgetting to shift. I guess I was too used to the manual transmission in my Altima that it felt un-natural to shift without a clutch.

I find the paddles very handy for passing (and freeway onramps) but I wouldn't drive in the manual mode.

Darn you beat me to it!

I was going to ask the same question. When I picked out my FWD 2009 SL with Premium package (but just before signing the paperwork)... I noticed the paddle shifters were missing. The saleman told me the paddle shifters only came with 2009 AWD version. I thought about it for 2 seconds and decided I didn't care (one less thing to worry about breaking).

Nissan upped the content on SL models and the Premium Package for 2009. They likely dropped the paddle shifters to keep the price point or for other marketing reasons. ie. To upsell the AWD version.

My rogue is FWD. Funny thing is the thread has become about paddle shifters, I had those in 2 of my other cars and never used them. I was inquiring about the Homelink Mirror but it does appear that is no longer an option, strange thing to discontinue

A Homelink mirror is an easy add-on, ebay has lots of them.

I'm betting it's an easier install/swap on the Rogue than it was on my other car (broke a windshield trying to replace the mount on the glass).

That must apply to the US model, because I have an '09 SL FWD with Premium Pack (Canadian model) and it has the paddle shifters.

I also have a 2009 FWD with Premium Pack and have the paddle shifters. I also purchased rearview mirror on E-Bay with Dimmer, Homelink and Compass and had it installed by dealer.

Yep it appears us lazy Americans don't need no stinking shift paddles, just let the machine do all the work.

I have the same problem takeshi, I have a brand new dim/compass/homelink mirror in my garage waiting to be put in my Accent but I can't figure out how to get the OEM mirror off. (?) !

How much did the dealer charge to install it?

It took the Dealer approx. 1-1/2 hours. Cost 89.00 and worth it cause if anything goes wrong their responsibility. Goint to have backup sensors installed by them also soon.

Back up sensors are soooo nice to have. I installed my own.....a pita because of the back up lights being installed on the lift gate......really hard to get to them.

I just finished installing backup sensors myself. You can do it in about 2 hours. Instructions are in this thread: zer...npics

Here are the sensors I bought ($30 shipping included):

I also thought I was getting Homelink Mirror with Compass and shifter paddles.

I have a 2010 Rogue, SL AWD with Moonroof package, Premium package and Leather package.

I came with the auto-dimming mirror, so I won’t complain, however I was wondering what happened to the Homelink Mirror with Compass. Glad I saw this post.

Thanks,Pawprint
