i am thinking of buying a few control arms and bushings. I was wondering if i should put these on at my house to save money, and then go to the alignment shop to get them properly adjusted? Or should i leave the whole ordeal to a shop?

I'd put them on and drive it over to the alignment place :)

If it is something to do with toe, make sure you attempt to adjust it back to it's original settings.

As long as you are not looking at a 'road trip' to get to the shop, I'd do as much as you can at home.

Installation of some of the components might require a press...Definitley do as much of it as you can yourself...A shop would charge an arm and a leg for installation...and the best part is, you get to learn more about your car...
