it did take some time, but i bought a
20foot roll $18.99flat head screws $4.59(had a torch lying around)
and i got busy..
i started screwing from one side, installed screws in the corner of the bends, and so on.
after all was done, i took the torch to the bends, heated up and down side to side, had a pair of leather gloves to hold it while it cools(apply ice, it cools faster and hardens better)..
after that i placed L brackets on numberous positions, and one special L bracket in the center, bending it to form fit like a U shape as it got lower.
and walla, this is the finished product....
++++ THE BLACK HOUSING________
i took off the headlights, set the ovent to 170 degrees. after the temp was right, i placed the whole headlight assembly in the oven for about 3 minutes at a time. carfull not to leave it in there too long or it will burn..
!!!!! pay attention to the heating coils, make sure they were not too close to the housing or you will have melted assemblies. my oven is a little big so both my coilse were about 7-8 inches above and below @175degrees.
after a few minutes, pry the cover away from the housing, (make sure to remove the metal clips) you will have to place it back into the oven a few times, to heat the sealing and pry little by little.
when done, mask what you want to NOT paint and get pissin'. after that re-do the heating in the oven process and melt the seal again for a good seal. when done, i took silicone and sealed all around the housing and glass, to ensure 110% moisture free. (sucks to have moisture in your headlights)
all is pretty easy, but time consuming, but will a little time and effort, your finished product could look pretty good. good luck.
