Yea on the way back from chicago this morning my car decided to turn the engine light on and limit my rpm to 2000. The problem was that I was going 85 along with the rest of the people on the road and it just quickly slowed me down to about 50. Well I took it to the stealership and they need to change the cam shaft position sensor, so they got me a 07 maxima to drive and i got to say even though it has the VQ I still preffer my 2.5s coupe.

In 6th gear my 2.5 is at 2000 Rpms and the car does about 65mph.

That sucks that it slowed you down

it scared the crap out of me thank god i realized that manual mode overides the failsafe

I had the same problem with my 02 Nissan SpecV with the QR motor, freaked me out.

well the scary thing was the cabbies at chicago who seem to have a complete disregard for other drivers on the road, i almost got hit by these two cabbies

WOW! lol my mom traded in her 2005 altima 2.5s stick shift for a 2007 maxima (same day i got my 3.5se coupe) and she's never been happier. now i'm not going to bash the 2.5, its good on gas and is fast but better then a 07 maxima???? when i drive my mom's maxima it sometimes feels a little faster then my 3.5se altima coupe lol i know my coupe is faster then the maxima but it has a sporty tune or something.

oh don't get me wrong the maxima if faster but the coupe handles so much better

NO JOKE!!!! Thems ****ers are CRAZY!! Willing to do 60mph powerslides around corners while its -2 degrees outside in the blinding snow! I did however get from the southside to the metra station in 10 minutes!!!

i agree. the 3.5 SE sedan does handle better than the 3.5 SE coupe. ive driven both of them to know, which is the reason i bought the sedan instead of the coupe.

well guess what I officially have the worst luck ever today while on the way back home on 90 some guy decided to merge into the right lane without checking his blind spot, nonetheless I was unfortunate enough to occupy that specific area, I tried to break but it was too late, he hit the front left of the maxima which in turn sent me into a spin, and i ended up doing two full 360's across 3 lanes of trafic and into the divider

I have an a/c but its at the stealership the maxima was a rental the dealer got for me. So at least my baby is still intact

nope just kept going, i tried to chase after him after i hit but the engine was off and at the time i was in too much of an adrenaline rush to think straight.But I have to say the maxima can take a hit like a champ, i was driving it with no problems with a quarter of the bumper missing.

ya i gotta agree, the maxima is really ****ty on corners, worst torque steer i've ever seen.... really good straight line performance though lol but man, thats hella crazy! got any pics of the wrecked maxima? good to hear your ok

it wasn't wrecked completely surprisingly it only needs a new bumper maybe a hood and a shock absorber other than that its fine. Oh yea and i forgot to mention that the other reason i miss the a/c is for the people in other cars pointing at me while i drive.

well i got my car back and turns out they had to replace the throtle chamber assembly the cam possitioning sensor and a few gaskets. And thanks to my luck it gave me a big speed boost i can now keep up with my friend's 02 gtp.
