Bash is coming to Win10 with the Anniversary Update. INCLUDING apt-get.

This is HUGE. This means I can get much of what I use my linux boxen for without needing to dual boot OR run a VM (or carry a live disk around on my keychain). There are so many little bash applets I use frequently that I can't get on Windows--that will change now.

This is particularly cool because I haven't found a really flawless way to boot linux on the Surface Pro without losing a lot of what it does well. Now, I can get a bash cli without even having to reboot from Windows.

Yeah. I'm excited. Nadella's Microsoft is a company I'm starting to like a lot.

I remember seeing things about Bash being able to natively run on Windows 10. Haven't tried it out yet, though. Been awhile since I've dabbled in Linux things. Should bring some happiness to other nerds as well.
