Well, it's not really "mine." I helped my folks pick it out and am completing the deal for them, as well as detailing it.

1997 Q45 cream/tan, new struts, shocks, tires and brakes, very clean, straight body and only a few minor flaws on the interior (armrest).A great car and I knew as soon as I saw it that it was "the one."

We looked at several other Infiniti's, inlcuding two I30's that were AWFUL!! One had the worst body work I've ever seen, it looked like a "new" taxi. The other had a quarter panel that had been hit, and hit hard and repaired poorly ("no accidents").

The difference between what I consider clean and what others consider clean is amazing.

i'm becoming one of those cult like figures who only buys one brand of car, like those crazy Volvo people (which i can say cause I also own a Volvo).

Picked up the car yesterday and drove it home to be detailed.

Feels great and I can now confirm that stock springs, recent struts and 16" tires are much softer than my driver 97 with cut stock coil springs, 17" tires and recent front struts, original (237K) rear shocks.

However, my 99T is rougher than my modded 97 and a 96 with 70K was much rougher than any of them.

The car is going to be a great "before an after" due to its overall straightness combined with its current filthy state.

The car has the phone option, how does that work? What service is used?

I'm going to get some pics soon of all 4 Y33's that I'm currently in possession of.

I reneged on the deal. My mom was looking for a new car but the 99 I'm fixing required too much work to give it to her with free labor and the car was not worth what I would charge my folks if I sold it to them.

Instead I offered to research cars for them and detail/make any repairs needed to the car they bought.

The 97 I "bought" for them requires just enough work to have made my dad walk away, but won't faze me. It needs new fluids, valve cover gaskets (I'm gonna do the passenger first and wait on the driver-just to get rid of the smell), armrest repairs, pin stripe repair, new antenna and an extremely good detail. I expect it also needs K/S but I haven't driven it hard yet so can't be certain.

My neighbors think I'm crazy-which of course I am.
