So the car is boosted. With only 5.6 lbs of boost, it's got all my supra driving friends talking. The car runs great. It's got a little T3 that gets full boost at 2400 rpm!!! Man does it pull. I accidentally had the wastegate capped of and boosted 15 lbs. but that was stopped immediatelly. For right now, I'm just running the 5.6 lb spring. I'm putting in an SAFC II tomorrow, as well as a greddy boost controler. I'll put up pictures tomorrow. When my Z32 MAF and sr20 injectors come in, I'll tume the car to about 12 lbs. of boost. Oh, I forgot to mention, it's an automatic, and its more fun than I thought it'd be.OH, I CAN'T WAIT TO TAKE IT TO THE TRACK!!!

i can side with him as i just recently got onto the no lag bandwagon. congrats on ur auto ka-t. if ur like me, u may want to start learning how to drive all over again so that you dont end up getting 230 miles to a full tank of gas lol.

Whether ur putting down 500+ to the ground or 200 to the ground... You can still get ~300 miles to a tank

Its all on how u drive. If u can go an entire tank full of gas WITHOUT going into boost, u will safe gas and get better gas mileage...

Im putting down ~300 whp and i got 330 miles out of a tank on the highway going from Florida to South Carlolina. The key was i NEVER hit boost the entire way up there..

My 95 Altima n/a did 375 miles on a single tank (highway)

Injectors can only flow sooo little when they larger. That's why gas mileage suffers with really big injectors, they can't meter out very well with small amounts. Since Rick is running 1600cc, I would imagine that to be a problem.=)

I'm running 615cc injectors on an estimated 250whp setup and my car is my daily driver. No gas mileage decrese have I noticed.

well i am only running an safc so im sure with an ecu or standalone, good mpg can be achieved. also since i virtually have no lag and i was used to having the boost come on around 4500, im still trying to master the "save on gas" technique. i dont think i ever got 330 to the tank unless i was NA and driving from dc to miami. actually, i once got 400 out of a tank but that was with the light on for a good while. nonetheless, congrats again.

Doing 65% city 35% fwy (given, it is SF, so lots of hills, and lots of stop signs...) I am only running 370 injectors and get around 200/tank. I got 260 bone stock, If i really squeezed it, although I hated scrounging fuel off the bottom o' the tank...

Well, the car continues to rock!! I have my greddy ebc in, and my high boost setting is for 10 lbs. Man, does it pull! I imagine i'm ok with 10 psi on stock MAF and injectors because of the relative smallness on the actaul T3 turbo. Once I get these part in, I'll get the car tuned and dynoed (hopefully at 13 lbs). I want to post some pictures, especially since I made my own heat guard, But I gotta get a new camera. Haven't seen many KA-T in south florida. Glad I have mine. It *&^%!!! rocks!

PICTURES!! I DEMAND PICTURES!!!

Glad to hear your enjoying the boost. Keep up the good work and let us know how your dyno goes.

DONT get too foot heavy.... These ka motors have very weak ring lands... The slightest lean mixture will pop them ring lands in a heart beat...

Get that wideband hooked and make SURE those a/f ratio's are good.

Boost is VERY addicting..... and its so easy to crank that controller up to get more power, but then u'll "feel like an *** when u blow it and PAY out the *** to fix it"..

It just costed me $530 for new pistons, HG and head studs... Money is really not too much of an issue for me "now" but that money could have went somewhere else...

you said it was a t3 turbo.... Is that a T3 turbine ..?? What compressor are u running..??

The turbo has a 48 mm exhaust housing and a 42mm compressor. Here are some pictures of the car, engine, and my heat shield (homemade). See if you can spot the BOV.http://nissaninfiniticlub.net/...age=1
