So since it was so nice and supposed to stay nice all week here in Jersey, I finally got around to debadging and detailing my car (I've neglected washing it for almost three weeks!) Was a little bit too cold to paint the nissan badge though, I'll get to that tuesday (supposed to be 70 degrees!). Also going to wire LEDs from the nissan badge (blue surround with white glowing lettering) and a red LED hooked to the middle brakelight.

Anyway, a little humorous backstory before the pictures:
I read around on the best ways to debadge the car and had my dad snag a heat gun from work, but didn't have any goo-gone. Needless to say, alcohol pads are NOT good replacements. Spent about an hour trying to muscle the glue residue off the car before giving up and going to buy some goo-gone. Half hour after that and a ton more elbow grease later, here's the finished product:

Right after I broke my elbows:

Just home from the car wash:

And before anyone asks, yes, I kept the stock tips from the car when I got my pipes + muffler done :gotme

Still have to buff off the ghosting of the letters, but that's a project for another day when I can move my elbow without pain! :chuckle:

Thanks! I looked into it and was ready to buy them and bring the car in to get tinted, but I talked to some kids I went to school with and they're telling me the cops in my area are notorious about tints so I'm going to hold off at least for a little while. Not sure if you can see it, but my license plate holder is from the dealership -- Hawthorne. The car is usually in the Paterson/Wayne area.

If I can pull off 5% tints in Woodland park, you can def pull 25% in paterson lol. If you own a PBA Gold Card you'll never get a ticket in paterson, the cops there are pretty cool. State troopers tho..is another story..

Cops are incredibly strict and they love to target young male drivers such as myself (I'm 18). I don't have a gold PBA card, I just have the regular once a year ones. I'm going to make a couple calls tomorrow about getting a PBA badge for the windshield (I have a lot of family in emergency services; cops, EMTS, firefighters, ect.). I'm not saying that they're out of the question, I'm just going to put them on the back burner for now.

Thanks! I do too! I don't see many azure blue 3.5s, the only ones I see are 2.5s. Makes me feel unique! :woot:
