It's been about a half an hour, and there's still leaves falling from the trees, huge piles of ice, and rushing water. Look:

Like I said before... thank goodness for garages! I saw some quarter sized hail come down for a bit!

You can't really tell in the pic above, but that is a ton of water coming down the street, and this is a half an hour after the rain stopped... yeah, it was raining that hard and long.

I was driving, got home just barley before the hail started. I was getting out of my car when I noticed the first bits.

Hail sucks. I live in an apartment which only allows one garage stall per unit which my brother gets cuz his car has more money put into it. last year we got several hailstorms. I had to listen for the first signs of hail, run down and drive my car to the underground garage wait for it to stop and then park it outside again. one night there must have been three different times I had to do that.

You should have seen the softball/golfball sized hail that tormented my car.

I was gonna say, quarter size hail isn't that menesing, the softball/baseball size hail that I have seen here, looks like it wants to make a Hondah Hood into a Hand Made Wok ... maybe to make some fried rice ... :D

Would you park outside in it? My dad's truck now has some "texture" added to the hood and roof because of it. All hail sucks, period.

Sometimes ... you don't have a choice ... What If your at work? ... What if you don't have a garage or reasonable cover? Thats what Comprehensive Insurance is for ... I'd park in it now, then I get to collect insurance money to get a fiberglass hood or something, lol.

2nr - I'm in Overland Park, and fortunately we didn't get hit by the baseball sized stuff. It was still nasty though.

Demonic - I'd rather keep me car safe, what if the hail breaks a sunroof and gets the interior soaked, etc. Just too much risk for me.
