I had never seen one before in real life. Didn't even know there was one here in town. But yes, I was at Sonic with my girl and her friend, and also a guy that has a s13 hatch w/ a redtop and here comes this RIGHTHAND DRIVE MINI pulling in. He knows the guy w/ the s13 so he pulls up next to his car and sits with us. I am amazed at this thing. SO SMALL!!!!!! The body was perfect, paint perfect, interior close to perfect. Man, that was an awesome car. Guy paid 5k for it with 93k original miles. I love this car. I just kept staring at it and smiling. You have got to love these things. They are just so, small. heh

EDIT: Its a 1973 by the way.

And its amazing that these things are on the road. I think the Germans built the Trebant (-sp) that look similar to the old Mini Coopers.

Yeah, they're definately small. Put it in proportion, the new Mini is about 1/3 bigger than the old one. The current Mini can fit on the roof of a Ford Excursion (I've seen it. :D).

I'd hate to be the poor guy who gets rear ended in one of those things, especially with circa 1960's crash protection.

A neighbor of mine had one for several years. I'm not sure I'd want one. They are certainly attention grabbers and conversation starters, but they are small, uncomfortable, and lack too many creature comforts for daily use on the street. We're talking street pizza. A old modded cooper S would be a fun weekend track car, though. Hmmmmmm

Be an awesome track car. This guy that was driving it only gets it out on the weekends I think. Be a real fun car to drive around I think, as long as it isn't everyday.

I don't know if I'd fit into one. There is a black and white one by me that I've seen three times. The driver has the seat so far back, his head can be seen in the back quarter window (when passing).

They just look so awesome though.Ben if you think the Mini is small you should see a Fiat cinque e cento (probably spelled it wrong). Smaller than a Mini. It would only take two people to lift it (two women at that).
