Yea, this kinda what it does, and that was my thought as to what was wrong. But since mine has a brand new on in there, Thats not it. As for the function of the PCV valve, here it how it works, to my understanding anyway;
When the manifold is under a vacuum (off boost) the valve opens and allows the crankcase fumes, oil's and moisture to be sucked into the intake manifold and burned. When the motor comes into boost the valve closes and all of the gasses and such are then routed to the suction side of the turbo. That is why I put my catchcan between the valve cover and the turbo because at higher revs where you're going to be getting the most blowby (regardless of what shape the motor is in) the gasses are routed to the turbo, so I put my catchcan inline there to catch that excess oil and moisture that would normally go into the turbo.
