speaking of sentras this nissan mechanic had a old sentra like your talking about had 220,000 miles on it and ran 15's

4 valves per cylinder designs have been around for a WHILE, the VG30DE, KA24De, and many other nissan engines use it.-chet

wow, i was looking for a high mileage car that existed a few threads back... knows imports can reach the 200 K mark easily, but close to 400K??? wonders if this is the w/ the original engine...

Somewhat OFF topic.

Boss's brother-in-law put 1 million miles on an Accord in like 6 years, did all schedule maint at Honda dealer and when he hit 1 million they offered him a BRAND NEW Accord in an even trade. He talked them into an Acura. He's nearing 200K already in less than 2 years.

That's awesome,mine has about 190 with origanal engine.it sat at my dad's work for almost 3 years with water in and no antifreeze.And still runs somewhat

ive got 203,000 miles I dare someone on nicco to beat that. ESpecially when it keeps going up higher cause of how much i drive :-)

rex, was that on daily driving conditions? impressive...

i personally went to the mobil plant in south jerzee to see the 1-million mile BMW running on mobil 1... that condition was basically running constantly w/ regular stops for maintenance on a dyno machine... replacing a broken engine mount here n so forth...

He's a field sales service rep guy thingy?? Drives a freaking TON all day every day. I keep waiting to see Honda use his car in some kind of ad, but it's been close to 2 years.

He says there's a huge diff in the Acura over the Honda in every way.

1 million miles.....that reminds me of the Married with children episode where Al drives his dodge to one million miles and he was going to get some huge prize or money or something when he drives to the finish line and somehow his car flips over and he doesn't get anything so he gets mad and drives off into the sunset in the desert to hit another million miles..........Im rambling...

Ever driven in a taxi cab in the front seat? Well, you'd Shee!t yourself when you looked over at the miles. I was in Baltimore with my Girlfriend and her parents, Sat int he front of a taxi cab with the coolest black dude ever. Says he's owned the car since day 1, all hes done is changed trans oil every 75,000, used slick 50 every 3 oil changes, and minor air filter maintenace, ETC.

{drum roll} 555,000 miles or a lil more, crazy huh? His advice is don't let women drive it, lol (jk, but thats what he said)

yeah, n the sad part is that the cabbie's car was probably a 97 lol...but yeah, they rack up crazy amounts of miles...there job is to drive around all day after all lol
