Holset HX35W, good buy?

Discuss the RB20, RB25 and RB26 series engines.

I found a Holset HX35W brand new in the local classifieds, but the guy wanted $800. I talked him down to $400... Some college student. Do you think that is a good buy? I feel that it is, but I wanted to run it by you guys.

$400-$500 for a new one would be a good deal

being that he probably spent more than 800 on means its a great deal....only if you have 400 bucks to chuck out... I'll grab it

I wouldn't spend more than $400. New isn't all that with Holset's though. They are so beefy, used is almost as good. Rebuild kits are cheap too.

You can get them at a steal used. I bought an used one for my 25 for $272 after shipping and such should be here today.
