WHat type of tester did you use? The kind that screws in or the kind that pushes in?

If you warmed up the car, then the aluminum expanded and made a nice tight seal. Wait for it to cool down and try again

No way.So im assuming its the tester that has the metal piece atatched to the plactic hose that leads to the gauge?I would cut the hose and get a really deep socket, you can always fix the tester.

cut the plastic tube than ? sorry i didt really understand. THe whole gauage is not stucked, is the the single piece metal extentioner stucked. Go to autozone.com, search for compression tester, and is the 2nd one. look at the picture and u will see what im talking about.

I believe he is talking about cutting the hose then getting the deepest socket on to the hex section of the fitting that screws into the spark plug hole. If that doesn't work take off the valve cover / cam cover and you might get another inch or so closer to the fitting. Now if that doesn't work get an easy out or a spade drill bit (might work) put the drill on reverse, and try to get into the middle the best as you can and unscrew that sucker out. Just my 2 cents

Peace

Thats exactly what I am talking about. Cut the hose as close to the piece that screws in to the spark plug hole as pissible then get a deep socket that will be able to reach the hex piece

Or you can get one of those Sprinkler remover tools. It looks like the dagger from the golden child. But if you use this tool leave a little hose left when you cit it, because the way this tool works is as you put pressure the blades dig in and the you turn it.

I'm guessing he screwed it in too far, and when he cranked the engine the piston hit it.

I have seen that happen all too often.
