Theres a big c clip on the bottom prob under the boot. take it out then pull the shifter out. You just wont be able to tell how much fluid is in your trans.

I did the same thing cause my fill plug was stuck on, but I got a square socket and breaker bar and then kicked it and it broke loose

Can you take a clearer picture of the broken parts? I might be able to identify them.

Looks like you might be in for a transmission rebuild. I may have a gear or two for you if u need. Not sure which ones are in good shape yet.

or you could

put the car in second gear, pull up the rubber boot and put the transmission fluid in like that.

ive done it a quite a few, its a long process but you dont have to do any special.

those pictures do not help much. try to get better pictures. but from what i can see, that is not a synchro. it looks more like a sheet of thin sheet metal that probably when through some of the gears, that's why its gear shaped in some places. i just took my transmission off last weekend and i noticed one piece in there that was as thin as that piece and pretty fragile.

here are some pics from my transmission, i think its the piece that is circled in red. if it is, you will probably want to check the gears out in case of damage to the teeth.

The first pic it looks like a piece of a gear. Second it looks as thin as tin.

No idea what that is. Doesn't look like a "syncro"

why not undo the 1/2 drive fill hole like your supposed to? when the trannys full the fluid will start coming out the fill hole.
